Explore the Spectacular Snowdonia in Wales
Owning a caravan in by Snowdonia, Wales comes with a wealth of diverse attractions to tickle the fancy of a wide range of visitors, whether young or old.
North Wales has so much to offer, with Barmouth Bay conveniently located in the heart of it all. On the west coast between a mountain range and the sea on the mouth of the river Mawddach, it could be described as one of the most beautiful locations in Wales.
Off the park
If you want to get up, out and about, you couldn’t have picked a better place to explore.
Snowdonia’s landscape is unique and completely awe inspiring. There are a total of nine mountain ranges that cover over half of the park and include many peaks that are over 3,000 feet! Its beauty and charm will leave you simply breathless.
King Arthur’s Labyrinth
One of the most mysterious and atmospheric stories Wales has to tell – rarely has it been told in more apt surroundings. King Arthur’s Labyrinth is hidden deep beneath the mountains of Southern Snowdonia in Mid Wales; an area steeped in myths and legends. 30 mins by car.
Greenwood Forest Park
GreenWood Forest Park has so many activities on offer including the only people powered roller coaster in the world! For kids there is a giant active adventure playground where they can climb up in to the TreeTop Towers. A fantastic family day out!
Snowdonia Mountain Railway
All board the Snowdownia Mountain Railway for a majestic trip to the rooftop of Wales. Situated an hour’s drive away, the journey to the summit will amaze you. The views from the train are truly breathtaking and on very clear days you could see as far as the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland and the Isle of Man.
The nation’s unofficial anthem, loved by rugby fans and regimental bands alike, is said to describe the longest siege in British history (1461-1468) which took place here during the War of the Roses. Breathtaking. 20 mins by car.
Llechwedd Slate Caverns
Explore 100 years of man-made tunnels that were formed by candlelight at Llechwedd Slate Caverns. The slate in this mine is among the oldest in the world and includes a range of activities from underground tours, workshop demonstrations and soon to come adrenaline-pumping zip lines.
